Stringers Set

We got the last two pieces of the stringers set this weekend, one of them is all but complete and the other will be glassed completely in as soon as the weather coincides with the Sunday work schedule. While we were waiting on the epoxy to warm up, we started sanding/grinding down the outside of the transom where we had plugged the old bolt holes with epo + cabosil and discovered the original name of the boat to be "Hearts Desire". Not big news at all, but we had to sand through 2-3 coats of paint to get there (one was hand brushed). Gas tank has been confirmed and should be here in time for a mid-Dec. dry fit. (we will see)

3/4's Done with Stringers

Sunday's work got us to 2 full stringers (centers) and 2 half stringers on the outsides. Applied some more tape to the bulkhead and made some plans for the next trip, which should have us all but done with the stringers and ready to start on the flooring.

More Stringers

Sunday, we were able to put in 2 more stringer sections and the back bulkhead. Much easier going since first section was in place and we were able to secure the new pieces to it. With just one strip of the tape on the 1st piece we are feeling pretty good about the strength we are getting. The gas tank should be arriving soon.
