Bottom Paint

Sandblasted, wiped, taped, primed and painted. The picture was taken with my phone...we are in the process of re-installing everything and still have to put another coat of BP on it and get it jacked off the bunks and painted underneath.

Boat looks great. I Am currently restoring a 72 Performer which I believe is the same hull. I loved the lines on the hull and decided it needed to be restored. Unfortunately my fibergalss and rigging skills are limited so I have had to have most of the work professionally done. Finish date should be July.
What is your total hp? was it enough when you sea trialed it? Does the boat have any problems with rocking?
Thanks,
Rob

That was a great job. That boat can turn heads.By the way how does she react with the horse power? I am thinking about buying a 233 formula and restoring it also.Looking forward to asking you a few questions. Thanks,Berty

Sorry for the delay in responses, for some reason I did not get notified that comments were made. Thank you both for the compliments.

Rob -
Total HP is 280 (twin Johnson Oceanrunner 140's) and they seemed to be plenty of HP during the sea trial, we were able to easily get up to plane with just one running...There were not any issues with rocking that I can remember...she seemed stable.

Yellowman (Berty) -
She does well with the HP, I would have liked to have put a little more HP in there but spent the $ elsewhere...I will have to say, READ the earlier posts before you start to tackle one of these...hopefully the one you choose will not have to have stringers and transom replaced...but most of the projects that I have seen have had to have one or both done...I would not trade the experience for anything (except a 27' albemarle) it has been fun and challenging. Feel free to email me any questions @ john.hatley@gmail.com

Thank you for your reply. It appears from the photos that your boat is turning out beautiful. I ordered twin Yamaha 150's for my Performer so was awaiting your feedback. I'll sleep easier now that I nknow that twin 140's were more than apt.
Best of luck.
Rob
